Wisconsin’s Davis beats up on Purdue; Boilers fall to 1-2 in conference
Purdue posted historic wins last weekend, ending long droughts at Wisconsin and Minnesota and closing to within one game of the conference lead with 3-1 wins in Madison and Minneapolis. They look to extend their six-match winning streak (currently tops in the conference) against Michigan Friday and at Northwestern Sunday.
Purdue swept Northwestern and stopped #3 Wisconsin in four sets to move within two games of the first-place Badgers and Huskers; they’ll look to close the gap Friday against Maryland and Sunday against Rutgers as part of a four-match road trip.
Purdue volleyball got through a rough start of their schedule at 2-4, sweeping Iowa twice, dropping two 0-3s to Wisconsin, and losing a pair of five-set matches to Minnesota. They’re scheduled to visit Ann Arbor to play the Wolverines Saturday and Sunday.

Volleyball moved to 13-2 overall with a four-set win over Maryland and a sweep at home by Wisconsin; they’ll look to stay at or above .500 in conference play in matches at Michigan and Michigan State this weekend.
Purdue struggled for the third straight game, scoring just 21 first-half points en route to their third straight loss, 57-53 to Wisconsin. The Boilers will look to rebound Sunday against Penn State.
