Some Stories Tell Themselves

A friend posted this on the Book of Faces today, so I thought I'd take a look. It is exactly what you think it is: a link to a posting on Indeed for the openings created by Burke's recent acknowledgement that perhaps a small bit of change might be in order. Of course my first thought was "Indeed? Well, it's not Craiglist, but still ...." Then I scrolled down to the bottom of the page, and the first recommended job is a similar position at Minnesota.

I think we'd all agree that Minnesota is one of Purdue's direct competitors in every way: same conference, same division, similar recent football history, etc. (Well, it is somewhat larger, but other than that it's very comparable.) And yet the postings do not look very much alike at all.

I encourage you to check out both postings and draw your own conclusions. I think you can guess what mine is.
