If Tyler Has Inspired You, Here's Something You Can DO

Sure, shouting “Cancer sucks” is a nice gesture. And retweeting stories about our friend Tyler Trent spreads his story even more and makes even more people feel good and moved and inspired. However, if you’re anything like us, you think about action. What can I do? And when someone is as sick as Tyler has been, you often find yourself in that almost….angry at the world state because it feels like there’s nothing you can really do to help him.

But you can help. You can do something. You can donate to Riley Children’s Hospital in honor of Tyler. Is your $5 or $100 or $1,000 going to cure cancer? Maybe it won’t, but don’t look at it that way. Every little bit truly helps. And you know what it might do? It might make another kid suffering from cancer’s life just a fraction better. Maybe it’ll allow them to repaint. Maybe it will make Halloween at Riley’s more spooky. Maybe it’ll allow them to provide a favorite toy. Maybe, just maybe, your donation will go to providing comfort to those who desperately need it.

And do you know what the best reason to donate to Riley is? Tyler wants you to.

So if you feel inspired by Tyler, please donate. And if you want a high-resolution print of Boilerdowd’s artwork, please go to our merchandising section and take it for free — all we ask is that you donate something in Tyler’s honor.

If 10% of our Twitter followers each donated $10, we’d raise $13,000 in Tyler’s name. Do it. And tell your friends.
