Too Much Cheese Proves Costly For Boilers
Purdue lost 49-20 on Senior Day...Yancey had two long TDs along with four other receptions for a total of 155 yards receiver...Blough only had 51 more yards of total offense.
Purdue competed for a quarter and one-half before the dam ruptured and flooded the once thriving Purdue football village with destruction and Badger points. When Blough rolled left and TJ Watt snatched the pass out of the sky for a subsequent pick six, every Purdue fan knew that was the moment in which the game had turned. Four offensive plays later, and with just five more yards of offense on the board, Blough threw another pick. That's kinda all you need to know, as a Purdue fan.
As Coach Haze said a few months ago, Purdue fans are hungry for a winner. At this point, we're all starved for the end of the season. But first, this four year Senior class, that's never gotten close to a bowl game, has an opportunity to ruin the off-season of IU fans...While it's not a bowl, it's worth something. It might even be something that we all talk about until the next coach rides into God's Country on white steed...or a lowly donkey...depending upon the analogy that you want to use.
Here's to that announcement coming quickly...and Purdue's new AD and the trustees not screwing it up. There is great potential for our fanbase to get a much needed shot in the arm. Believe or not, there are scenarios that seem to be possible, that could actually make us all feel worse and more apathetic...if that's possible.
Good luck, Mike.
