Where We At, Yo?
Like the changing of the seasons or tax day, one thing that you know happens around springtime if you’ve been reading BS for a while is that we essentially go into a hibernation of sorts. We write (and sometimes podcast) pretty extensively about football from August to November and then basketball starts in there and overlaps for a while, then we focus on basketball almost exclusively through March or April (ha, Purdue basketball in April – can you imagine?). And then, well, then we’re usually a little cooked and feel like stepping back is the best thing for everyone. But fear not, we’re not gone for good – although I think it would be pretty funny to ultimately end the site by just not showing up again. We’ll be back soon with some analysis of the spring football game as well as some quick-hitter, shorter-form podcasts on the goings-on around Purdue sports.
But back to the original question – where are we?
Well, boilerdowd recently moved and has had a job being rather demanding lately (dumb day jobs). Myself, I’m buried at work, too, and have an impending childbirth to deal with at my house. Dave, given his references to DraftKings and whatnot, is likely lying low as he recovers from a gambling binge and tries to avoid Vinny Knuckles. As for Mike, we really don’t have proof that he exists and if he does, he’s out in the pacific northwest probably getting high and mountain biking or something. And the Swamy? Well, he’s….he’s busy, man.
As I said, we’ll be back soon with more thoughts on AJ’s return, Purdue’s many helmet options for the fall and much, much more. Okay, well, not much more. We’ll see.
