Boilermaker Helmet Craziness Continues

For the second consecutive week, the Boilermakers will don a special helmet. This week will feature a concept that isn't new, either, but is (in my opinion) a real classic. Instead of black, the Purdue "P" will be a USA flag:

I personally could not approve more highly of this. But then, I'm a US flag afficianado. I think working it in subtly (I'm looking at you, Northwestern) is the best way and making it part of one of your primary logos is a significant tribute.

I would approve right now of the Boilermakers wearing these hats every 9/11 and 11/11 (the games closest to those dates) on an ongoing basis. Well done, here, boys.
